"The View" -- what is it like?

I've never watched this show, but it is always being talked about by Leno, Letterman, etc. And now there seems to be more interest due to recent some political statements being made. Obama was even on the show. Are politics and the US election often discussed on The View? Are both sides of the issues fairly presented? Are liberal and conservative viewpoints being well represented by intelligent well-versed proponents? It The View a good source of political information?

It's the worst place to go for political info. None of them know the facts. They're slanted toward liberal and won't budge. That's why Letterman, etc. make fun of them. They're just a big joke - but not the funny kind. Most of the women are just disgusting.

Its a show with 5 women yappin all at the same time LOL Elizabiatch is a true true conservative and a Mccain/sean hannity lover. Whoopi is very liberal. Joy is liberal too and makes very good points when speaking, and sherri is a bible thumper/sorta conservative. Barbra is sorta neutral Some of the topics are very good like when they talk politics almost everyday in Hot Topics. You have your conser. and the liberals both making their arguments so its pretty well balanced. But I wouldn't get my Politics from there, I watch Bill MAHER on HBO for that :\

The View is a show created by Barbara Walters that allows women of different ages and different points of view speak their minds. There are currently 4 regulars along with Barbara. They take the time for the first half of the show to speak on topics that they find interesting and discuss or argue about them. It is like an old fashion coffee klatch with cameras watching them. It can be boring and I do not always agree with the points being made but it does spark discussion.

It's 4 women hosts.The first part of the show is them talking about the latest news stories....and things in their personal life.The second part of the show is guests....and information for the viewers.I don't like some of the hosts....and it can get to be very annoying at time.

whoopi and barbara are the ONLYones worth listening to.and that's only if you're sick enoughto have to stay in bedand your tv is stuck on abc andits showing the view.don't ever decide to watch it.
