What is a good small suv?

I want to get an suv. I'm looking for something that is relatively smaller. I have looked at some explorers and kind of like them, but I have heard that too much go wrong with them. Not to mention that they get pretty bad mpg. Im looking at the price range around 00. Please say price and year of the car.

Explorers are mid-size, not small. So are Jimmy's and Blazers. Small SUVs would consist of things like Chevy Trackers, Rav4s, CR-Vs, these are not even trucks.

If you want a nice size SUV, not too big but fair gas mileage get a Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee(Cherokees are better off-road but Grands are more luxurious). They are techincally mid-size but they are decent on gas and they are cheaper than Blazers and Explorers.

The Explorer is not a small SUV.

What you need is an S-10 Blazer or a Ford Escape. Finding one that is drivable for only $2000 isn't going to be easy.
