Unlocked Blackberry Bold 9700 - CAN I PUT MY TELUS..........?

Hello, I have just purchased a Blackberry Bold 9700 (new one) from my friend. He took his sim card out to use with his new phone. It was locked to Rogers, but I just got it successfully unlocked. I currently use a Blackberry Curve 8330 (no sim card) I am in a 3 year contract with about 2 years left. I was wondering if this is what I do to be able to use my new phone.

-Go to telus and purchase a Telus sim card
- Have my account/contract put onto the new sim card
-Put the sim card in the phone

(Basically wondering if indeed a contract that is not on a sim card and already active can be put on a sim card to use in this phone.)

Yeah sure ! I would like to share my experience here . I used unlock code to unlock my Blackberry bold 9700 from carrier lock I got code from the provider UnBBLock.com . Now, i can use other GSM sim cards with it .
