I am thinking about playing soccer on a team for the first time?

I am 15 years old, and I would like to start playing soccer. I am extremely fast, or so my friends tell me, so I think that would help in soccer. Any ideas on how to train for when I start playing? Any tips on soccer in general, such as kicking the ball well? Thanks!

Well before you try out, i recommend you play with your friends in a park somewhere, or find a place where you can go for fun. Ideally you become better at soccer with practice, even by playing now and then you gain experience.

Try and kick the ball with the inside of your foot, and use it to stop the ball when it comes to you. You wont be amazing at first but youll learn. Watch some soccer matches too, here in England i see something and think "Ill try that when im out tomorrow" and ill eventually crack it, just by looking, learning and putting into practice.

But its a game for fun. Dont get frustrated by it, its a game and its a game you should enjoy playing. Being good at it is just a bonus.
