I have a 99 Ford Ranger with a 2.5L and an M5OD-R1 5 speed manual trans and for some reason I have problems shifting gears particularly into 2nd and 4th. It's almost like the shifter is trying to force its way through a gate to get into gear. If I let the rpms drop completely, with the clutch depressed, then it works fine but if there is any load on the motor it won't go into gear even with the clutch depressed. Any clues?
