why are products like peanut butter recalled when people get sick, when tobacco

isn't? tobacco kills people, and can cause cancers and other diseases.
Why is it that chewing tobacco and cigarettes, and all those things aren't recalled?
they kill people, they cause diseases- so why?

yet, when dog food or peanut butter has made people ill because of bacteria or something- it's instantly recalled.
