I need 2 present a piece of news to my class tomorrow.

And choose a relevant topic related to social, cultural and political aspects of the english speaking world, i´m choosing the united states.
I need to write a short article about this and print it out to everyone in my class, and the topic should be a springboard for discussion.

I´m from Norway, oslo and go to High school here
my question is, do you have any interesting topics, good for class discussion, suggestions please ?
