I have had my Xbox360 and Xbox live for about a month now and I haven't had any problems with it until now. Sunday morning it was perfect, I was playing online against my friends, but Sunday evening I couldn't connect to Xbox Live. It just says that the IP address has failed.
My Xbox360 is wired via Ethernet to my laptop which is wirelessly connected to my router.
I am currently with Tiscali Broadband and there isn't a way to connect my Xbox to the router because I really don't want a £50 wireless thing from “Game†(I’m unsure about the really cheap £10 ones) and I’m positive that I won't have a long wire travelling around my house just for my Xbox!
My Xbox is a core that has been turned into a premium (apparently) I bought it off ebay you see. The console was in good condition and this failure is nothing to do with it being second hand.
Thanks!!
I don't know whether it's any help but according to my Xbox, my...
gateway = 0.0.0.0
Primary DNS = 0.0.0.0
Secondary DNS = 0.0.0.0
That is when I “Test Connectionâ€
Thanks for the help
P.S. I recently added this same questions but none of the answers seemed to help. I have also added extra information
Cheers again!
