Why are all torrents downloaded in Divx format?

I like getting media from torrents, but i don't like that all videos download in Divx format, because i cant play them on iTunes and converting them takes years. Any ideas on how to download the files so they're compatible with iTunes? Maybe deleting Divx player/codec? (I use BitTorrent btw)

Just download a DivX player. Better quality than iTunes any way. Besides MOST videos these days are in DivX format. Best thing to do is download a DivX player from some place like downlaod.com.
