Can I install ps3 games from dvd and play without the dvd?

No, you can't.PS3 games aren't even on dvd, they are on blu-ray. They are copy-protected, like ps2 games, they will only function if they are on the disc.The only ps3 games that will play from hard drive are the downloadable ones. Add-ons and patches also go on hard drives. But a game itself can't be copied to hard drive and function, if it's sold on disc.

It plays DVDs and Blu-Ray movies but the games are on Blu-Ray, not DVD.
