Should i bring my hamster to the vet?

I have had my hamster for a few months and recently he has been having greasy fur, not running on

his wheel, is really lethargic and has way less stool. I called a veiw different vets and the one I want

to bring him to costs $45 and I also would have to pay for whatever treatment he needs. I'm in

highschool and would have to pay for it w/ my own money (I don't have a lot).

Should I bring him to the vet?

no...it would probably be cheaper to buy another hamster if this one doesn't make it.

ummm...wouldn't it be cheaper to just get a new hamster?
Just saying if your not that attached to it.

I think you should ask them the name of the treatment and look online and see if you can do it your self. If you cant then by all means take him to the vet.

If you think your hammie is sick, then YES. As a responsible pet owner, it is your duty and responsibility to take your pets to seek medical treatment if ever need be. Even hamsters.

I have a vet on speed dial for both my dogs and my rats.. Who see different vets... I love my dog's vet so won't change.. But he doesn't see rats, so I had to pick a different one for them...
