Sims 2 torrents leads to errors?

okay, i already have, Sims2 double deluxe, open for business, and university, i wanted to try and download seasons torrent, so i did, andi followed this guy's tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31invhpAFos

it worked, i got seasons onto my pc, but..when i tried to play it, an error popped up... there was no message, there were 2 options: Yes and No. I clicked yes, and i started to play sims.... but when i got to the neighborhoods, there was no neighborhood....so what went wrong?
