Help needed locating hidden divx files?

I have a few divx files saved on my hard drive but they remain hidden no matter what I've tried. They refuse to be found via search options (have tried several methods)

I have folder options set to 'show hidden files'

If I buffer another divx online and right click, save as - you can see the other files have been saved - I can also right click file and send to usb flash drive or play the video from there but it's such a ball ache having to go through all that to watch a movie I've saved previously.

I'm running Vista - 32bit

I've done a couple complete virus/malware/spyware scans which show nothing

Any suggestions would be very welcomed...

If you enable your folder options to display the full path you should be able to locate the directory where the files are being saved to when in the save box, and then access it.

Is it possible that the files are being saved to a file extension different to the one you are searching for? Try a search for *.mpg, *.mpeg, or *.avi
