    ps3 slim blueray lens issue...?

Ps3 will do everything but read discs, you put in disc and the clock loader thing just loads for ever, so i tore it apart to see how it worked, and the disc goes in, in clicks twice, and the disc just sits... now i put in a clear disc that comes with cd/rws, so i could se through it right to the laser.. for about 3-10 secs the blue light comes from the laser lens, then it goes off.. Im sure i need a new lens replacement.. my question can there still be laser coming from the lens and its still faulty... By the way the disc dosnt spin through this whole ordeal, it did work and read a dics 1 time out of like 100... it spun smooth, so i dont think any motors are dead.. about the lens tho....
