There's no need to buy CDs or games when you can download them, illegally or legally.
The internet and text messages are becoming stand-ins for face-to-face social contact.
Video games, TV, etc are replacing the need to exercise.
You can buy everything you need in the safety of your home through the world wide web.
Likewise, you can start and maintain a job at home.
There's no need to buy a book when you can read it digitally.

There are a few more things I can name however I'll keep it at that.

And no, I don't believe it's slowly ruining the generations and neither do I hate any of this. I just pulled together a few anti-current!technology people complain about.
