Well I'm with telus and I just began to download things like old TV shows and movies and things, and I was just wondering because I was looking and it seems some people have a limit on the amount of things they can download per month, and if they go over they get charged alotSo I was wondering if there was a way to tell if there is a limit on the amount I can download

Yes, you can monitor your internet usage by logging into your internet services account at http://www.telus.com. Once logged in, under "Your products (for all accounts)," click on the "View details / modify" link next to TELUS High Speed. On the next page, there will be a "View usage" link in the upper right corner. Click on it to view a detailed report of your Internet usage. Basically the cap is 60 GB for most high speed accounts. (High Speed Light is 10 GB) But to be honest, they will only enforce the cap if you exceed the cap constantly and say, do 200 GB of downloading. Even if you do download that much, they will only send you a 'warning' e-mail about exceeding your bandwidth and to not do it again (a virtual slap on the wrist). As long as you don't, you shouldn't worry about it. Bottom line is, don't panic if you exceed the cap one time, you could always switch to Shaw anyways if they give you trouble...its faster. :p
