Why is network rail shutting down some of our rail services on a bank

holiday weekend? Surely they could wait until after our three days off.

for the lesser mortals who use the rail network, like myself & my family this is bad timing.

They always do it, the minute their is a long weekend they start playing games. Very selfish attitude and i pity those who were looking forward to seeing their friends and family. Typical.

I think they do it solely to piss off as many people as possible.

The rail network hasn't made sense since it was privatised. The companies still collect their subsidies and the managers are nice and secure in their jobs, thank you very much. It was the same during the Christmas holidays, I ended up driving to Norwich instead of catching the train for the same reason....which wasn't such a bad thing as it was cheaper to go by car, on my own, anyway.
