How can I delete apps and music on a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10?

I have a new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and have downloaded a couple of apps just to play around with which I'm not bothered about keeping but I have no idea how to delete them, feel like I've tried everything! I have also downloaded a couple of music tracks through playing and again, want to delete them but can't work out how. Help me please!!!

Go to settings, then applications.. manage applications and click the app you want to delete then click un-install.
