    New OS download?

Just downloaded an OS off the internet, (linux ubuntu) but I can't get it to run. I'm not really sure what I am doing, it is an ISO file, if that is any help. Can you tell me how to run the new operating system?

Right-click the ISO file and burn it to a CD -that's your installation CD. Hope this helps...

    New OS download?

You must burn the .iso onto a CD. Use your computer's burning programs to burn the image to disk. Make sure you're not just making a data cd; that won't work. Once that is done, reboot your computer with the CD in the drive, and you should boot into Ubuntu, from the CD, unless you got the alternate install. If that doesn't work, and you boot into your normal OS, you should restart and try to get into the system preferences when you see the BIOS to change the boot order. That is, the type of media the computer checks first in order to boot from. You want your CD drive to be first on the list.Congratulations, and good luck!
