    i rebuilt a (b18b1) [acura] motor and on first crank it is around 3.5k rpm and i

    just shut it off? after like 10 seconds... Is this normal? [first time rebuilding a motor]

    probably just the throttle cable to tight. And the idle adjustment valve is tuned right. it should be the flathead screw looking idle valve on the throttle body.

    make sure your intake manifold is bolted on good enough with a good gasket happened to me once there could be other problems but this seems most common
