Is it worth getting the xbox 360 hd dvd drive?

Hey guys, I'm justing debating whether to buy the xbox 360 hd dvd player or not, im very tempted but im not sure if it's worth buying or not?
The deal I find for Microsoft Xbox 360 HD DVD Player is $50.

HD DVD is really already non-exsistent, do not buy it. Many companies have already shitched to Blue-ray, inlcuding Toshiba and Sony to name a couple. SO basically what this means is, if u buy a HD DVD player, you will not find any HD DVD's anywhere because they are not made anymore. For further proof of this, The newest HD DVD player that was most recently created, a couple months ago was selling for $699 and now can be found for $99 simply because the company is trying to get what they can for it.
 
yes and no. it is after all a hd dvd player the only thing is all hd dvd's have a certain code that they run on and some players only play certain codes thats something to look out for plus after a while they wont make anymore hd dvd's cos toshiba has gave in to sony's blueray...... quiters
