Back in 1992 they probably didn't keep records very long because data storage was expensive. These days they keep them longer.

How long does California keep information on a person after they die?

Not to go into a long story but I'm looking for a picture of a person that was murdered in 1992 in Los Angeles, Ca., and the family has no pictures . The homicide dectectives in Los Angeles said the Ca drivers license number and the criminal records had been deleted. So no dmv or booking pictures available. I would think there is some records somewhere, thats why their called records, right? Any help would be appreciated.
