    electron configuration of I- and N3-?

    is this correct for I- : 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s2 3d10 4p6 5s2 4d10 5p5

    N3- : 1s2 2s2 2p6

    N3- is correct and I- is:1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s2 3d10 4p6 5s2 4d10 5p6
    but to shorten I- you could write:[Kr] 5s2 4d10 5p6
    which says that follow the configureation for tha last noble gas which in this case is krypton and then continue on.
