Bluetooth headset with Laptop?

I have a plantronics voyager 510 bluetooth headset. I try to connect it with my laptop Lenovo R60, i can pair the device and connect but the sound is not transfered to the bluetooth headset. I use skype on my laptop, i selected the bluetooth headset as the default device and i recieve the sound on head set, but other sounds like music and google talk sounds are still through the laptop speakers. is there a technical issue here.
Can some one please help.
