sms wont delete from nokia 1100 inbox?

there are 2 sms's in my nokia 1100 inbox which wont open or delete.After trying to conventionally delete them, I tried removing sim card and it didnt work,also tried removing battery.

The phone is old but o/wise works well and it does what I need it to do.
