How do i make ringtones on itunes?

can someone please tell me how to do this. I heard you can do it, but i dont know how. Im still trying to figure out how to put music on my playlist... but can you please tell me step by step on how to make a ringtone and put it on my phone....i have a memory card that i can plug into my computer...would that work??? please dont tell me to see the video because i tried and it didnt say any of that.... THANKS SOOOOOO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
ok I did this awhile back but i think i still remember
1. right click song get info set timer start 0 end 35 (make sure its 35 seconds only) oh yeah u don't have to start at 0 any part of the song just make sure 35 seconds
2. right click the song and click AAC (to get AAC on your menu go to edit, preferences, change from WAV to AAC its on the first page import setting i forget)
3. once converted right click the song and delete then click keep file.
4. search the file thru your computer find it and change the name from mp3 to mp4 i think
5. drag it into itunes and it should work.
