    2 pals are 55 soon: 1 a half-immobile gadget guy, 1 a fit technophobe,

so what gifts would be best for each? I think my technophobe Welsh pal needs iPod, moby & satnav, but which models are most user-friendly & easiest to learn? How best to overcome wariness of electronic gear?

& what fun gadgets & inspirational/motivational material can best help my arthritic Scouse pal?
    Hi Brian!

You remind me that I forgot to say PC or laptop: more ideas for his love of music:-

He's the most helpful guy I know
& the other is 2nd - I think folk will club together to honour them

    Fit 1 wants a mobile home/caravan too

I'd agree with the Technophobe idea of an ipod ... set him up with itunes and pre-load the iTunes speech Stephen Fry made. Explode the ideal of what is possible, over what is necessary.

As for the other end of the spectrum, we all need something to moan along with, but it we can, laugh at the same time. So Download some Terry Pratchett for him ... there are some gems of intellectual ideal held within the realms of witchcraft and madness.
