where can i find ringtone folder on itunes i cant find it
The ringtones can be hard to find as they are not in a folder of their own. Assuming that your are usin the default location for your iTunes music files: Open your hard drive and on the left open "Music". Then open iTunes and iTunes Music. Now you start searching. The ringtones will usually be in the same folder as the original song. IE: The folders are usually labeled by the recording artist/group name. In the folder for the artist(s) look for the file ending in .m4r. That is a ringtone. Note that I've had some ringtones make their own folder I have a folder labeled Compilations that contains some (but not all) of my ringtones. I don't know if I hit a save as button atthe wrong time or what, but that's where they are. Good hunting!
You can of course make a new folder labeled Ringtones and drag them all into it. Then it's a simple matter to delete those listed in the Ringtones library (In the left column of iTunes) and drag the ones from the new folder to the Ringtones in iTunes. That way iTunes will remember the pathway completely to the files. (put a space before the word Ringtones in your new folder and it will appear at the top of your list of music folders when viewed as "List".
Open your Music/iTunes Music Folder, and in the Finder search field type 'm4r', they should then all appear.
Then click 'Save' to create a 'Ringtones' 'Smart Folder'.
