Wind is a result due to changes in air pressure. When air pressure has dramatic changes, this may cause a very windy day. This is used to predict the strength of winds that are predicted in the forecast. There are also other things you could say that are a result of this.

The wind doesn't affect the air pressure, as such, but the difference of air pressure is what creates the wind.
