Lincoln was a politician first and foremost. His priority was self gain, self promotion. Like any other politician he used people to satisfy his needs. His concerns for any particular people were limited to what they could do for him. History revisionist have selected snap shots of his life and presidency to promote this idea that he was the great white hope and nothing is further from the truth. Whether he was a criminal or not is not up to debate. He was a politician therefore a criminal.

You probably also think the Republican Civil Rights Acts of 1865 and 1871 were criminal, too, like the democrats who challenged them in court because blacks didn't deserve rights?
