I am a Canadian, but would like to live and work in the U.S as a freelance...

...Photographer. Whats the process? As it says. I am canadian, and I would like to move to the U.S, specifically Hawaii to become a freelance photographer and videographer.

I have heard it can be hard to gain "working and living" access into the US without actually becoming a US citizen. Whats the best way?
