Bittorrent help plz plz plz?

Ok so im using bittorrent to download something, but its very slow even though there are like 50 peers and im connected to 7. There would be some "bursts" of downloading, where it would increase speed to like 10 kb/s but then it slows down and stalls. Then it gets faster and wanes again. Any suggestion>?

btw bittorrent is not always piracy

i hope you dont thing that 10kb/s is good, but anyways... if you're new to this then you probably most likely need to forward your ports being used, which I would gladly help you with if you were using uTorrent. I dont use bittorrent, and honestly dont know if thats the one thats pretty much utorrent, but i dont care enough to go look on google, which is what you should do to find out how to forward your ports. just sit it out bro or go find another torrent trust me ive been in the same situation and ive waiting for week then I went on another torrent site downloaded the same thing different torrent and in a day it was done so try Torrents.to it has alot of Torrent site available to download from and all my downloads have been super quick
