Christians have their own set of Messianic prophecies. They're not using the Jews' set.

First, Joseph had a direct lineage to King David, but so was Mary a direct descendant through Solomon, not Jechoniah, then through Nathan, eventually Heli, the father of Mary.
Secondly, the fact the two were betrothed meant the union was sealed, broken only by divorce, according to Jewish law. The marriage had not been completed when Mary as a virgin conceived Jesus by the Holy Spirit.

Nowhere is the heavenly Messiah confined to one human lifespan. The Heb. for "Messiah" only occurs in a few verses of Daniel. The heavenly Messiah, not of flesh and blood, was to arrive and save all Israel in the "70th Week" of Daniel 9. Jesus was not involved with rebuilding the prophesied Temple of Herod, but will show up in Jerusalem during the last "week" of prophetic time. The Third Temple will be desecrated, Jesus not having anything to do with it. He will instead occupy David's throne under David's tent tabernacle for 1000 years.

Jesus fulfilled all prophecies leading up to His arrival and ministry on Earth, and will return to complete all prophecies concerning Him and the Antichrist and millennial rule on Earth. Of course Jews should be intent in disclaiming New Testament prophecies and reports, misinterpreting OT prophecies in favor of a natural mortal man, but will stop doing that at the end of the Gentile Era.

The restored Solomon's original Temple did indeed have a Heb. "mashiyach" for that achievement, Nehemiah, by decree of Darius and other kings supporting, many interfering, until dedicated and known as "Herod's Temple".
The Third Temple is being planned, priest trained, to be built in Daniel's "70th week" or last 7 years called "End Times", with great tribulation.

The historical fact is that Jesus fulfilled none of these messianic prophecies.

that is wrong. the 3rd temple is being built now mate. so i dont know what your on about. and the other things wont happen till it's finished. read up on the Anti-Chritst. the Bible says the Anti-Christ will come from the South. (Obama-kenya) and he will bring piece to Isreal for 7 years. who's trying to bring peace to israel? YES OBAMA. they will be fulfilled

Yes Jesus fulfilled 300 of the prophecies. There were more people trying to prove they're the Messiah - but they didn't fulfill at least 200 prophecies.

    There's other problems as well.

The Hebrew/Jewish Messiah was never supposed to be God, but rather just an extraordinary huiman.

The Messiah was supposed to be of David's Lineage. If Joseph was not Jesus' father, then Jesus was not of David's Lineage. Hebrew law precludes lineage being transferred by the mother.

Both of the different lineages of Jesus (which one is the right one?) have Jeconiah in them. The curse of Jeconiah precludes any of his descendents from being the Messiah.

Therefore, because of these and many other problems, Jesus could not be the Messiah, by the rules of the OT.

what Judaism didnt understand Then, what people dont understand NOW is that men do not interpret the prophecies correctly.
some peoples confuse the prophecies of the birth of christ with his 2nd coming.
others definitely misunderstand how world peace and Mental peace are different

Jesus clearly had apostles that describe a PEACE without understanding, that come from "above". jesus while he was yet alive taught that peace happens through love and forgivness, NOT war. it it happens by war, then everyone dies.
and in war it only the strong that survive, not necessarily the righteous. for it is also written NOT by Power but by my spirit saith the lord.

universal knowledge! are you kidding. by the time jesus was 40, the entire world had seen his glory and the miracles of the Father. (he was 40 when he died not 33)
within a few years the gospel of the apostle had reached every continent of the world. Resurrected beings rose from teh grave throughout the world Angels declared the death and resurrection of christ among many nations by themselves

before any christian or atheist declares the truth to be conclusive, one must discern which prophecy pertained to his life, and which pertained to his death and with pertained to the millenium and the 2nd coming
