"Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD" - Jeremiah 23:16

Prophecy pah! They spoke only words from their own minds, it says so in the bible.

Of the 23 Jewish prophecies, Jesus only fulfilled *one* before he died: namely, he was born to a Jewish mother.

The only reason that the notion of a 'second coming' ever evolved, was purely *because* Jesus died before accomplishing what the Jewish Tanakh states the Maschiach must.

Jewish belief is clear: the maschiach gets ONE normal MORTAL lifetime in which to fulfill the prophecies.

Ergo, Jesus was not the maschiach.

Jesus will return to fufill those prophecies (the second coming) when he will usher in the end of the age.

His first coming was a time of grace and humility. His second will be the time of complete victory.

First coming prophecies that Jesus fufilled (among others):
"He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.
Like one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Surely he took up our infirmities
    and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God,
    smitten by him, and afflicted.

But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
    each of us has turned to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
    the iniquity of us all."
    - Isaiah 53:3-6

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times."
    Micah 5:2

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
    Isaiah 9:6

How can a son be born who will be called God? How can a child be born in bethlehem who's "origins are from Ancient times"? This is in the Jew's own Torah that these prophecies were given.

    No, he did not.

Even the "fulfillments" attributed to him in the New Testament misinterpret the sources in the Torah.

That being said, the message of peace and love was the right one and still stands.

All good points, however, it should be pointed out that he never claimed to be the messiah, or that he was accomplishing any of those things. All the stuff about him being the messiah was added by Christians who remembered and wrote in an expansive way. Nevertheless his teachings of faith, love, and forgiveness are a sound guide to a spiritual life, for a Jew or a gentile. Just do, don't talk about it.

    A. No
    B. No, they are everywhere
    C. No, in fact it's caused more shit than anything
    D. No, but not for a lack of trying early in the morning

Well they claim that Jesus fulfilled prophecies because you know.... you can write the prophecy itself after the actual event.

This is not a PhD project. We have no right to tell God what he ought to do !.

Well your are right he did not fulfill the real Hebrew prophecies. The xians have since twisted, rewritten and rearranged the OT to fit their so called messiah. But more over Jews will not even worship our messiah...that is blasphemy. We are not looking for some supernatural being. Our messiah is totally different than that Jesus fellow. He will be a man and will fulfill ALL of the prophecies in his lifetime.
