why wont my bluetooth turn on on my laptop?

i dont know how to turn on the bluetooth on my laptop.
i have a gateway laptop nv78

i press FN and the bluetooth button (F6) and then the bluetooth symbol with a red X comes out. what does that mean.

its because the nv78 doesnt have bluetooth capability. the body of the nv series are all the same, but the only difference between the models and price is what content is with your laptop. i have the 78 as well, and im pretty sure it doesnt come with bluetooth.

wow i have the same problem with a packard bell do u no where i can get the installion files or hardware required

i have a packard bell laptop and i press the FN and bluetooth symbol button and it comes up with NO DEVICE is this what others get? or does anyone else know what to do to get it working again?

I have the 78 and it does the same, i've looked everywhere for a software. It shouldn't come with a symbol and thing to cut it on if it doesn't have it.
