Good places to buy non-expensive, unique watch?

So I was thinking about buying my boyfriend a new watch for Christmas. He likes big, obnoxious, unique watches, and I'm not sure of where I should look for one. We've only been dating a few months and I'm unemployed so I'm not looking to spend hundreds of dollars, and all the ones I've found online have been extremely expensive. Is there a particular department store, or perhaps a mall store (like razzmatazz or one of those jewelry kiosks) that would have a good selection?
