a wireless wi fi gadget?

i live in a dorm and we get free wi fi in our room wondering if thier a device that could get the wi fi signal and feed through a box so i can hook up too a vonage router so i an get telephone was wondering if it exist if so what would it be called?

you can try a wireless waypoint.

most routers can be configured to be waypoints. its basically turning off some of the more advanced router parts (DNS, DHCP, etc)
