that is about average for a fixie or single speed. most top of the line XC bike sweigh around 24 to 28 lbs. road bikes weigh around 17- for top end and 25 for your good ones. im not much of a weight weenie myself. 24 lbs is pretty light. some people go all out to save a few ounces and then throw on a huge water bottle full of water which defeats the purpose of going light. 24 is def a good number for any bike except a downhill of course those you want around 35-40
