Probably, but since he knew what would happen and didn't want it to happen, you'd have to force feed him for it to work.

    Great question!
Well first and foremost I think that not only does Gizmo have a nicer disposition to begin with but also appears to be a little more intelligent than his mogwai counterparts. If you remember, in the movie, Gizmo has the option to eat after midnight but CHOOSES not to. However in the event that Gizmo were to unwittingly eat after midnight, yes, he would unfortunately be pretty nasty. I don't think he would be quite as bad as say, Spike but he would be bad. My reasoning for this is that Spike and the others came from Gizmo in the "water" accident therefore that "meanness" for lack of a better word is "in" Gizmo but manifested through the others. Sooooo, if Gizmo became a gremlin unfortunately I think his bad traits would uncontrollably come out.
Now I don't think he would be like a zombie and totally void of a conscience so in a last ditch effort you may be able to appeal to his "good" side, but I wouldn't rely on it in his Gremlin state.
