I guess it would depend on the times you do it!
It is usually used as a way to see how fit you are in relation to other people, marked in levels.
Since people do not usually do the beep test many times, you cannot really improve your stamina solely on running it once every two months or so!
You can use the beep test as an incentive to become better.
