It's a problem any time you hate or fear someone you've never met, just because of some 'lable' that's been put on them. It's the same as being racist or a bigot. And yes, that's a problem. Isn't there enough hate in the world without you adding to it by deciding to hate people you've never even met?

Honestly I think its as bad as being racist. But the fact that you care enough to ask is good, you probably just need more exposure. I think that if you were to talk to a gay person or spend time around gay people you would see that it really doesn't matter. Its just the way they are, and if you believe in God I think that God made gay people too, so what reason do we have to judge them? Treat people the way they deserve to be treated, not based on things that they can't change. When you say homophobic do you mean fear or do you mean hate? Because of course there is nothing scary about gay people, thats ridiculous, and there is no reason to hate. Just try. Try really hard to be accepting.

It's a personal choice.... It's not a problem unless it inhibits you or others. I'm alright with gay folks as long as I'm not watching them make out, etc... and I avoid those parades like the plague but what they do behind closed doors is up to them, People screw dogs and horses behind closed doors. Really though if your not acting out violently with hate, you're pretty much a regular straight guy. I do not see it the same as racism but perhaps thats the generation thing.
