Like i have a normal day texting cellphone, with a 3yr contract
right now i got like 2yrs left.
im thinkn of buying a smartphone from my best bud, but is it possible?
to use a Smartphone and upgrade my current plan to the current smartphone plan?

Since you are upgrading I doubt TELUS will say no. Make sure that your buddy's device is compatible (it had to be originally purchased from TELUS) and that it has no money owing on it from your bud's account.
