    Is it possible to play a XviD movie on a DVD-Player that is non- compatible with

    DivX-XviD files? For example, I convert the XviD file to a DVD format, so that I can play it on an average DVD-player.

    Yes you can do it. I use a program called convert X to DVD 3, but there are many more as well.

    If you convert it to dvd format.

    You can use AVI2DVD. Its a freeware program.

    Here's a link that can explain it.
