    !!DSLR NEWBIE!! NEED HELP, I want to get a bundle on the Canon T1I but I don't know

    I want to get the T1I but I don't know how to go about it, should I just but the body and lens, etc. seporate?? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated THANKS

    Many package deals or kits aren't very good because they usually include cheap budget lenses and cheap crappy accessories.

    I suggest you buy the T1i and the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS kit lens only...and also a high speed memory card like the Sandisk Extreme III SDHC in 4-8GB minimum capacity (formatted before first use).

    Another, better lens and better external flash (I recommend the 430 EX II or 580 EX II) should come later on when you at least know how to best use your camera and you know all about focal lengths and other things, etc. etc.

    You'll also need a good (not cheap) sturdy tripod if you intend to shoot in low light or landscapes
