I just installed a new dvd rewriter but in "my computer" it shows "dvd drive" until I put a disc in and then switches to "cd drive". Anyone know why?
No matter what type of disc I put in (even a store baught dvd movie) my driver switches from dvd to cd in "my computer". I have tried dvd-rw, dvd+rw, ...

(D:) drive switches from dvd drive (d:) to cd drive (D:)?

It could be reading the media type of the disc inserted, i know my pc does the same thing but changes with the different media types. (DVD, CD, Blu-Ray Disc)
