ive heard of a lot of problems occuring with the xenon, but nothing quite like mine....ive had my phone for a little over a month and just a few minutes ago, i got a txt message, and tried to unlock the screen, but the screen was black. everything worked because i could hear the buttons hitting things as i touched it, but just the screen wouldnt display. then i took the battery out and back in, and it worked, but when i tried to do something, it would freak out. like the keyboard on teh touch screen would turn pink and green like negative and move. i want to do everything possible without getting a new phone because i really liek this one....help me please!

Ok My dear
after a bit of research I understand that the Lg Xenon phone uses a Capacitive touchscreen technology. Wiki this and you will find that the plastic strip attached to the underneath of the front cover of the phone (with its circuit ribbon that connects to the main circuit board of the phone) has a sticky substance holding it air tight to the underside of the front cover. This sticky substance is Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) and conducts a continuous electrical current accross to the sensor. So if you have bought a new cover from ebay etc like I have and replaced the new cover with the old scratched one, you need to get yourself some ITO sputtered onto the screen to make its capacitive touchscreen technology work again.... hope this is a more technical answer than some of the idiots that post unhelpful solutions to questions(solution 1

so are you saying that fixes the touch part if like when you touch the screen nothing happens? cuz im pretty sure everyone is saying that their screen is just black, the touch part still works, like the phone works fine, you just can't see what your doing. am i right everyone? cuz thats whats happening to me

mine just did the same thing so i took the battery and sim out for a while but that did nothing. then i put it on charge but the screen was still black. However after about twenty minutes on charge i tried turning it on and it just worked! :)

Mine turned all sorts of colors green purple but the colors are all in a line the screen isnt broke i didnt even drop it! Whats wrong??

Thank god I did not get this phone! There is so many problems!
I am werry happy I got my blackberry

Im so sorry for you guys who have had
bad times with that phone. Its crap my frend had one
and it broke in a week.

Best of luck

First off it is not a "Capacitive" touch screen. It is what is known as "resistive". Capacitive uses GLASS as its touch portion where as Resistive uses a plastic overlay. Capacitive = iphone, HTC Android Phones. Resistive = LG Xenon, HTC Touch Pro 2

I've had my phone for 2 years now and the screen used to shake, but now it blacks out, and tonight the touch screen stopped working. Screw this, im getting the iPhone.

My phone had the same problem for months. I've bought a cheap replacement phone but i'd love to use my xenon. It sometimes turns on after a month or two and I can use it for a solid 5 minutes before the screen blacks out. I feel the vibrations and when it first happened I even called my sister on it.
