Fitness help please!! Any advise please!!?

Okay i have a few questions,

    1) are these measurement average/high/low
    Male
    18
    5'8-5'9
    144lbs
    10.6% body fat
    21.3 bmi

if not average then what are some good numbers to shoot for?

i go to the gym 3-4 times a week.
    3 days i lift(chest tri)(shoulder leg)(bi's back)
and all 4 times i do some cardio.(tredmill/stair climber/ basketball)
when i lift i do the regulare 3 set 10 rep
my diet is fairly descent. not a health freak but i watch what i eat.

    2) im wondering what i need to do to get stronger? i just wanna increase power, since im kinda short and all i needa be able to handle things you know?
should i start taking whey protein?

i dont wanna get all bulky, im actually trying to lose fat or atleast replace with muscle, i just wanna get built and increase my power and strength.

from how im seeing it if i keep doing cardio and lifting i should end up where i want.i think. but im wondering if taking protein would help with my strength increase?

i have a fire academy starting in about a month n a half. and i want to be as prepared as possible physically.

please help with whatever information or tips or strategies you have. any help is greatly appreciated.

    please and thank you
