Nope, he ate fish.
God knows everything.
Meat is good.
dude, your friends are stupid they just messing with you... God also put marijuana,cocaine, mushrooms, acid.. hey wait, if you dont do them, then you are not holy.. oh and dont forget to smoke cigarettes
Kalee Jean! is just a fat sl*t, and she wishes she can be a veg
Jesus was a Jew and He ate what Jewish People ate;Fish, Lamb,...etc...Also He ate whatever the people feed Him when He was with whoever He was with at that time...He would never offend someone by not eating their food.
Mark 2:16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
John 21:5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
Matthew 9:10
That night Matthew invited Jesus and his disciples to be his dinner guests, along with his fellow tax collectors and many other notorious sinners.
uh no. he ate fish.
Cruelty behind eating animals? im sure you wouldnt think it was cruel if you were really hungry and you had a living chicken in your hands. You'd probably break its neck and eat it.
No, in the scriptures he frequently (and by frequently I can think of two times ate fish with his disciples.
edit: And tell your friends that there is nothing 'unholy' about not eating meat. god made animals before man, right? And they all pranced around the garden until adam sinned. Just because we eat them, doesn't mean God made them for us to eat.
I'm pretty sure the Scots have sex with their sheep, does that mean God made the sheep for us to have sex with? (hah! its so fun to insult the scots when they're not around!)
God created life so he cannot be cruel by taking it away.
(1Ti 4:1) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
(1Ti 4:2) Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
(1Timothy 4:3) Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
(1Timothy 4:4) For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
Jesus wasn't a vegetarian, as the gospels mention him eating fish a couple of times.
though what you are going through with your friends actually went on during the time when the apostle Paul was alive, and he wrote this on the subject:
"The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. 4Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand."
also it would be fair to note that God didn't start having man eat meat until after the flood, so before then everyone were vegetarians.
EDIT:
i almost forgot, to be "holy" is to be "good" and as Jesus said "No one is good—except God alone." so you aren't holy, but then again neither are your friends, as it is sin that makes it so you are not holy.
EDIT2:
"Certain types a vegetarianism allow the eating of fish."
well that isn't really vegetarianism since fish (last time i checked) were animals, not plants and therefore by what a vegetarian is would be off the selection of food.
If we didnt eat the animals the earth would be overpopulated by them...
