What is the arc outside the 18 yard box for? Does it mean its an indirect free kick if theres a foul in that arc?
I have been playing soccer my whole life and still dont know this one thing.......amazing isnt it?

It's only purpose is that players must be outside of that arc when a penalty kick is being taken. That's it.
