In society and religion "Lust" is viewed as something negative, can lust be ever

viewed as something positive? Lust is most commonly viewed as an uncontrolled craving or emotional attachment (i.e power, women, ect) but in what context if ever can "lust" be viewed as something worth having? And should it be considered a "sin" in ever context of the word?

lust brings forth sin.. lust is not bad by itself unless of course ur thought process has been affected by lust for the bible says that if u think based on lust then it is sin.. but lust is normally accompanied by sin so i'd say no lust is a problem all the time.

When speaking of lust it gives the hearer a picture of someone who wants something so bad that they will almost do anything to get it without even thinking of the consequences attached to their actions if they carried it out. Did that make sense? Desire is a better word and can be controlled easier. Lust can consume a person so much that it torments them day and night. The only way to control lust is to run the other way and never look back.

I'm assuming you are asking your question within the context of marriage. If so I don't see how anything could come from it Otherwise I would say the good of lust leads to marriage. Jesus always asks us to remove from ourselves the things that do harm to others. Lust in a marriage does harm to your spouse.

Actually the bible says that if we can't control our lust for eachother we should marry. Good advice.

One could lust for knowledge and that would be good as you are doing now.
It can be good it can be bad. I prefer to lust for knowledge.

No lust is not a sin in my opinion. Do you really think god would make lust a sin? Lust makes me attracted to women, which most of the time keeps the species going. So lust is a good thing. Instead of saying lust, why not say attraction.

It helps keep the human race populated. And motivates love and sacrifice within many a marriage. Lust only needs enlightened discipline for balance and it's a powerful motivator.
